Julien Klopfenstein trained at the National Conservatoire of Music and Dance of Lyon, France, in parallel with intensive training under Ballet Jazz Art director Raza Hammadi. He also attended the NDT Summer Intensive in 2018, learning from Nederlands Dans Theater artists.

In 2018, he joined Budapest Dance Theatre, performing internationally in works by Jiří Pokorný (Kidd Pivot/NDT), Péter Juhász (Emanuel Gat Dance), Aurélie Mounier (Opus Ballet), Lóránd Zachár, and more.

By 2020, Julien Klopfenstein became an independent artist, collaborating with creative groups like the Feledi Project (Hungary), the Badora Dance Company (Hungary), and the Was Bleibt kollektiv | Gentian Doda (Albania).
